Clyde Jackson's journey in education and community service is marked by dedication and excellence. A

proud graduate of Warner Robins High School and Fort Valley State University, Clyde has devoted his life to educating young minds and preparing them for the future. His career as a middle school teacher and winning coach in Houston County has impacted thousands of students, teaching them the values of hard work, respect, and the importance of history.

Champion for Youth Sports

Beyond the classroom, Clyde has been a guiding force in youth sports, coaching all sports and contributing significantly to the development of young athletes. His involvement in the GHSA Warner Robins Basketball Officials Association demonstrates his commitment to fair play and the positive impact of sports on youth development.

Community Leader and Volunteer

Clyde's contributions to the community extend beyond education and sports. A lifetime member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and a 35-year member of the Omega Gamma Gamma chapter in Warner Robins, Georgia, Clyde has exemplified leadership and service. His work with the fraternity and as a member of the First Baptist Church Garmon Street has touched many lives, making him a respected figure in our community.

A Family Man with Deep Roots in the Community

At the heart of Clyde Jackson's campaign is his role as a father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend. The Jackson family has lived in the Houston County area for nearly a century. During that time, the Jacksons have shown an unwavering commitment to education with Clyde’s mother, brother and sister all serving the Houston County community as educators and support staff. Clyde has been married 35 years to his high school and college sweetheart Dr. Traci McKenzie-Jackson, a retired educator/principal. They have two children Jada (Marvin) and Clyde III. They have one grandchild Kai. Clyde’s deep family ties and extensive network of friends and colleagues in Houston County speak volumes about his character and dedication to those around him. Clyde's vision for the Houston County School Board is driven by his belief in putting kids first, ensuring every child in Houston County receives a quality education that prepares them for success.
